Society for Reformation Studies

10th Annual Conference
2-4 April 2003
at Westminster College, Cambridge

The Tenth Annual Conference of the Society for Reformation Studies
will be held at Westminster College, Cambridge, UK, on 2-4 April 2003.
The annual Conference wishes to have papers on both the sixteenth and
seventeenth century Reformations. A number of guest speakers are being
invited. The sixteenth century session is being finalised, but will
include papers by Dr Paul Ayris (University College London) and the
Society Chairman Professor Gerald Hobbs (Vancouver School of
Theology). The seventeenth century session will comprise 'The Irish
Articles' by Dr Alan Ford, 'The Canons of Dort' by Dr Anthony Milton
and 'The Westminster Confession of Faith' by Mr Chad Van Dixhoorn.

As well as its special themes this year, the Society encourages all
attenders to offer papers in their chosen area of interest. Research
students are particularly invited to share the results of their work
with members. The Society is keen to promote Reformation and
Renaissance scholarship in all its aspects - theology, spirituality
and related disciplines.

The Society sponsors a journal called Reformation and Renaissance
Review, to be published by Sheffield Academic Press. All papers
presented at the Society's Conferences are eligible for publication in
this Journal, subject to the normal refereeing process.

The Society is developing a website at the following URL

http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucylpay/

to advertise its work and to act as a focus for all Society members
working in the field of Reformation and Renaissance Studies.

The cost of full board at Westminster College for Society members will
be in the region of 40.00 pounds sterling per person per day.
Non-members will pay an additional fee of 35 pounds sterling on top of
all Conference costs. The Conference dinner will be in the region of
15 pounds sterling extra for a three-course meal and wine. Personal
membership of the Society is 5 pounds sterling per annum.

If you would like to attend the Society's Conference, please complete
the form below and return it to the Society's Secretary, Dr Paul Ayris,
by e-mail at p.ayris_at_ucl.ac.uk by 28 February 2003 at the latest. The
Secretary will be happy to advise overseas visitors how to pay the
Conference costs to the Society.
