CFP: (dis)junctions: Chaucer Studies (grad) (2/14/03; 4/11/03-4/12/03)

This call for papers is for a proposed panel on
Chaucer studies at Disjunctions, the University of
California Riverside's 10th annual graduate conference
to be held April 11-12, 2003.

Chaucer studies represent a broad area of inquiry,
ranging from philology/linguistics to manuscript
questions to metrics to gender and class issues, and
the list goes on. Contributors are invited to submit
papers on Chaucer and his literary works, including
(but not limited to) the following topics:

- The Ellesmere and Hengwrt manuscripts
- Use of romance and fabliau in The Canterbury Tales
- The pilgrimage motif
- Versification
- Sources and influences
- The Marriage Group in The Canterbury Tales
- Faces/facets of Chaucer

Individual abstracts and abstracts for pre-formed
panels of three presenters should be e-mailed to
disjunctions_at_hotmail.com or to jeffty5_at_yahoo.com
by February 14, 2003. Please indicate your name and
conference panel in the e-mail subject line. No
attachments, please. Submissions should be no longer
than 250 words for individual proposals and 750 words
for panel proposals.
