CFP: The Legacy of Sylvia Townsend Warner (3/7/03; MLA '03)

For a proposed MLA special session and for possible inclusion in a
collection of essays, we invite papers on the work of Sylvia Townsend
Warner. We particularly welcome essays covering Warner's lesser-known
work or those placing her work in its various contexts. Paper topics may
include (but are not limited to):

    poetry
    biography (i.e., T.H. White)
    libretti
    translations
    correspondence
    short stories
    Warner and the New Yorker
    novels other than Lolly Willowes and Summer Will Show
    Warner and the Powyses
    Tudor Church Music

Please send 500-word abstracts and one-page cv by March 7 to:
