For a proposed special session at the 2003 MLA, I am looking
for papers on any aspect of Martin Delany's writings. Some
possible, but not exclusive, topics include Delany and black
emigration; the law; political economy; Frederick Douglass
and/or Harriet Beecher Stowe; Delany as postcolonial writer;
international commerce; as well as the relationship between
his fiction and nonfiction.
