Geographies of World War I

This proposed panel for the Fifth Annual Modernist Studies Association
Conference in Birmingham, UK explores the ways in which World War I forced
a reconsideration and renegotiation of the relationship between the human
subject and geography. Papers are welcome that deal with art or literature
that examines the experience of space either for the soldiers/civilians at
one of the fronts, or for those at home.
