CPF: First International Doris Lessing Conference
April 1-4 2004
New Orleans
Proposal Deadline September 15, 2003

"Terrorism and Political Practice"

Violence intrinsic to social change permeates Lessing's novelistic and
discursive production. Her 1980s texts concerning Afghanistan or the IRA treat
terrorism explicitly. Papers could address terrorism directly or violence more
generally as exemplified in 'Children of Violence.'

Send 500 word proposals by 15 September to Sandra Singer <ssinger_at_uoguelph.ca>.
