CFP: African American Literature (Permanent Section, Midwest Modern
Language Association): "The Introduction to African American Literature
Classroom: Pedagogical Theory, Practice, and Politics."

Submissions are invited for the African American Literature permanent
section of MMLA-2003, November 7-9, in Chicago, IL. Further information
related to the MMLA-2003 conference is available at
http://www.uiowa.edu/~mmla/.

Proposals related to the section theme or any aspect of teaching an
African American Literature course in the undergraduate classroom are
welcome.

Please submit a 300-500 word abstract by April 15, 2003. E-mail
submissions are preferred, but .doc or .rtf email attachments are okay.
