Call for Papers for the LORINE NIEDECKER CENTENARY CELEBRATION to be
held in Milwaukee and Fort Atkinson, October 9-11, 2003.
Panel discussions, keynote addresses, readings, performances of
Niedecker's plays, and tours to selected sites in Fort Atkinson and on
Blackhawk Island. The first two days will be held in Milwaukee and the
third in Fort Atkinson.
Confirmed speakers so far include:
Jane Augustine, Rachel Blau duPlessis, Glenna Breslin, William Corbett,
Michael Davidson, Steve Dickison, Ted Enslin, Elaine Equi, Jonathan
Greene, Mike Heller, Tom Meyer, Peter Middleton, Michael Ondaatje, Jenny
Penberthy, Marjorie Perloff, Lisa Robertson, Eleni Sikelianos, Anne
Waldman, Eliot Weinberger, Jonathan Williams, Elizabeth Willis.
Papers should be relatively brief, i.e. no more than 15 minutes.
Abstracts should be no more than 500 words.
Deadline for abstracts: July 15, 2003.
