New Voices 2003: Contemporary Perspectives on Composition, Culture,
Creative Writing, the Cannon, and Beyond…
The Fourth Annual Georgia State University Graduate English Association
Conference will be held September 18-20 at Georgia State University. The
conference will include the following major areas of literary study:
Rhetoric and Composition, Creative Writing, and Literature/Theory.
We are currently inviting submissions for 20-minute presentations in all
fields of Rhetoric and Composition scholarship. Please send a 300-500
word abstract describing your proposed paper together with a copy of your
vita. Panel proposals are also welcome and should include the names,
paper titles, abstracts, and corresponding vita for each presenter.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
Ancient Rhetorics
Modern-Contemporary Rhetorics
Current Rhetorics
Digital Rhetorics
Composition Research (Quantitative & Qualitative)
Writing Centers
Writing Across the Curriculum
Community and Service Based Pedagogies
ESL Instruction
“Basic” Writing Instruction
The deadline for submission is June 1, 2003, and notification of
acceptance will be sent to participating parties no later than July 1,
2003.
We welcome electronic as well as hard copy submissions. Please send all
