The British Literature after 1900 panel is seeking engagements with the
effects of the post-punk movement in Britain. Assuming that we ever knew
what punk was to begin with, we will not be looking into how punk affects
British culture; rather, this panel will attempt to parse out what
post-punk might mean and how it is reflected in music, poetry, art, or
narrative. We'd prefer to focus on the ways that language arts participate
in the construction of post-punk culture, but recognize the strong musical
underpinning of such an endeavor and therefore welcome engagements couched
in music, or evenly split with music.
