Call for Proposals
AWP, Chicago, March 24-27, 2004

For the AWP conference in Chicago next year, I am putting a panel =
proposal together on the topic of how creative writers (poets, fiction =
writers, creative non-fiction writers) use scriptural texts in their own =
work. Panelists must be working creative writers discussing their own =
work rather than critics examining the use of scripture in another =
writer=92s work. By =93scripture,=94 I mean the written texts pertinent =
to any religion=97Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. =
I am hoping to create a panel as broadly representative as possible, =
both in terms of religious texts addressed and genre of creative =
writing. Email one-page proposals to dominalm@delhi.edu by Monday, April =
28, 2003.
