Call for Papers for the 2004 American Society for 18th-Century Studies
Conference in Boston (March 24-28, 2004)

Session title: Of Bread and Corn / Dialogue sur le bl=E9

Brief description: Interdisciplinary session (possibly panel) on the
economics, history, science, politics, law, and/or representation--both
literary and visual--of =93bread=94 (in the broadest sense) in Europe and North
America. Comparative and interdisciplinary proposals that study this
particular topic in connection with broader eighteenth-century or
Enlightenment trends are particularly welcome.

Proposals should reach me via email, air or surface mail, or fax no later
than September 15.
