Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Conference
Austin College
April 23-25

Call for Papers:
Austin College welcomes abstracts from undergraduates in any field, on
any topic related to the Humanities and the environment or
environmentalism. Please contribute your work and join us for this
exciting event!

Topics might include (but are in no way limited to):
* Ecocriticism
* Issues of environmental justice
* Environmental history
* Representations (in the form of image, text, mapping, etc.) of
landscape, nature, wilderness
* Urban and suburban ecologies, ideologies
* Environmental ethics
* Christianity's/ Buddhism's/ Islam's/ Native American Spiritual
influence on the environment
* Landscape- or eco-art
* Activism and environmental issues in the humanities
* Postcolonial complications of environmental issues
* Interdisciplinary sciences/social sciences, environmentalism and
humanities

Abstract Deadline:
November 15, 2003.
Abstracts should be about 300 words, and may be sent via email to
