Call for papers for a panel at the American Studies
Association 2004 annual meeting (Atlanta, Georgia,
November 11-14).
Paper proposals solicited for a panel on theories and practices
of teaching, relevant to comparative American studies. Sample
approaches to teaching the following topics are particularly
encouraged: comparative contexts for American literatures,
languages, visual arts, and/or new media; comparative studies
of sexuality, race, or gender; American Studies and interdisciplinarity;
diaspora, borderlands, migrations, and/or transnationalism;
comparative study of environment and region; and others. Send
250-word abstract and vita to Dr. Kristin Dykstra at the address in
