Trans-Atlantic Survivals: the African Trickster in African American Culture

We are seeking papers that explore the presence of African tricksters in
black cultural ³texts² of all kinds. Studies of the emergence of the
African trickster in African American folklore, fiction, and fine art are
encouraged. 250-word abstracts accepted until March 15, 2004.
