Call for Papers, Proposed Special Session
MLA Convention 2004, Philadelphia

I am seeking papers that explore the constructions of urban and/or rural
space in twentieth century Scottish narrative. Suggested topics might
include: regionalism, nationalism and postnationalism, cityscapes (Glasgow,
Edinburgh), relation to U.K./E.U., landscape in modernist and postmodern
texts, etc.

1-2 pp abstract plus brief c.v. by March 12th to Matthew Brown, University
