American Literature From 1870 to the Present."

Midwest Modern Language Association (MMLA)

While more attention is being paid to the religious in American
Literature, there is still much to uncover in relating religion
and spirituality to the historical and cultural contexts of U.S.
literature. From gender and mesmerism to religion and the African
American Novel to class, alternative spiritual movements, and
modernism, this panel discovers how the religious and literary
intersect.

The deadline for submissions is March 12, 2004.
