The Nathaniel Hawthorne Society will sponsor two sessions at the MLA
Convention, December, 2004. Session 1: Hawthorne: "After" Context
(Alternatives to historicist approaches to Hawthorne). Session 2:
Hawthorne: Other Histories (new contextual work on any of his texts).
Proposals, no longer than 500 words, by March 15, 2004 to: Richard
