Humanitech 2004: Humanities, Technology, Science & the
Nexus of Discourse
April 23-25
Albany, New York
On April 23-25th the State University of New York at
Albany will host HUMANITECH, “Humanities, Technology,
Science and the Nexus of Discourse” a conference
focused on examining the intersection between
humanities and technology. The three day conference
will host an array of events, including academic
papers, multi-media presentations, and exhibits. We
are particularly interested in papers with an
interdisciplinary approach, and in incorporating
perspectives from a wide range of disciplines.
Possible topics include:
-Writing and Technology
-Media Studies
-Aesthetics & Visual Culture
-Technology & The Human Subject
-Games, Play, & New Media
-Ethics, Science & Technology
Selected papers from the conference will be published
in an edited collection.
Additionally time and space will be dedicated to those
wishing to show relevant exhibits.
