CFP: Wordsworth's Theory of Poetry (03/25/04; MLA '04)
Proposed Special Session for the MLA 2004 Annual Convention Philadelphia,
December 27-30. This panel wants to examine in detail the role of
Wordsworth's poetical criticism. Beyond arguments about poetic language,
Wordsworth's criticism probes the constitution of poetry as a significant
cultural form. Papers might focus on: The status of criticism. Prose versus
poetry? Poems as monuments. Language, memory, affect. Send 250 word
