The Ezra Pound Society, an Affiliated Organization of the MLA, will
sponsor a session at MLA 2004 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania called
"EZRA POUND'S AMERICAN VOICES."

For this panel, we invite critical explorations of the ways in which
Pound chose to address an American audience from abroad, including
efforts to promote his work/ideas at home or representations of
distinctively American voices in his poetry, prose, correspondence, and
broadcasts. This panel is not historically bounded, and we are interested
in a wide range of scholarly approaches to its problem (broadly
defined).

To apply, please email a usefully detailed abstract of no more than 500
words and a current c.v. (formatted in MS Word or as an RTF) to Matthew
Hofer <mrhofer@uchicago.edu> by Monday, 22 March.
