ANNUAL CONFERENCE
NOVEMBER 5 - 7, 2004
Reed College, Portland, Oregon
Now accepting proposals (300-500 wds.) for the Critical Studies Panel at the
2004 annual conference of the Pacific Ancient and Modern Language Association.
The panel is open to any and all papers pertaining to the relationship
between literary / cultural production and theoretical modes of engaging with
it. There is no preferred genre or literary period for this panel; all are
welcome. Papers wrestling with the question of the status / nature of theory
itself as a categorical or generic term of delineation, especially at this
current juncture in the history of literary studies and the profession, are
also welcome.
Please submit abstracts/proposals along with a short (1 pg.) c.v. by FRIDAY,
APRIL 2, 2004 to Christina Wilson at ciw@usc.edu (please do not send
attachments, but instead cut-and-paste your document into the body of the
email). You should also feel free to email me with any further questions you
may have about the panel or the conference. General information about PAMLA,
