LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, AND CRITICISM IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION

The Third International Conference on Language, Literature, and Criticism is jointly
organized by the Department of Arabic and the Department of English at Irbid National
University, Jordan, to mark the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the University.

Papers (20 minutes duration) might address any of the following topics:

Theoretical approaches to globalization
The self and the other
Globalization and language
Globalization and literature
Globalization and criticism
Globalization and the future of comparative literature

The languages of the conference are Arabic and English.

The conference proceedings will be published.

Accommodation and local transport will be provided free of charge.

Proposals (250 words) and basic biographical information (100-150 words) should be
sent by 15 April 2004 to:
