College English Association National Conference
March 31-April 2, 2005
Indianapolis, Indiana
We invite papers on women's issues, women's literature, women in literature, gender relations, feminism, and/or gender studies for the Women's Connection at the 36th Annual meeting of the CEA.
The Women's Connection is an ever-growing subset of the CEA. Last year, over one-fourth of the annual conference was composed of Women's Connection panels thus providing scholars interested in women's and gender issues an excellent forum to meet one another and exchange ideas. Panels range from social critiques to re-readings of literary texts to pedagogical techniques. Almost any presentation discussing women and/or gender roles will fit brilliantly with the Women's Connection.
Proposals should include the following information:
Name
Institutional Affiliation (if applicable)
Mailing Address (including zip code)
Phone number
Email address
Title for the proposed presentation
Abstract of no more than 500 words
A-V needs, if any
Special needs, if any
Please submit proposals in the body of an email (no attachments please) by October 15th to Haley Fishburn, Women's Connection Chair, at haley.f.fishburn_at_ttu.edu.
To preserve time for discussion, CEA limits presentations to 15 minutes.
For more information about CEA, the general conference theme, or other special sessions, please consult the CEA website-http://www.as.ysu.edu/~english/cea/conf_2005.htm-or contact the 2005 program chair, Dr. Ann R. Hawkins, at ann.hawkins@ttu.edu.
