Panel Title: "'The Rules' in English Dramatic Theory and Practice"

This panel invites proposals for papers addressing dramatic form in the
long eighteenth century. Papers might examine the ideology of "correct"
drama; refusal and rule-breaking in drama; English vis a vis continental
practice; the rise and fall of theories of the unities; epistemological
issues of dramatic form.
