March 3-5, 2005
Papers (15-20 minutes in length) are invited for a session on early modern European arms and armor c.1300-c.1650, and topics relating closely thereto. Please send your abstracts (approximately 500 words) by e-mail to: admin_at_armsandarmor.org or to Julia Bourbois, Director, Arms & Armor Society of America, P.O. Box 3361 San Dimas CA 91773 by December 1, 2004. Early submission is encouraged. Works-in-progress will also be accepted, but please mention in the abstract that you are submitting a w-i-p. Submissions are invited from graduate students, museum professionals, and independent scholars.

* Program participants are required to join the SCRC and are encouraged to submit publication-length versions of their papers to the SCRC journal, Explorations in Renaissance Culture.

* Arms and Armor Society of America session participants are required to join the Arms and Armor Society of America. Annual dues are only US$10. Session participants may submit their papers for publication in the Society's newsletter. For additional information regarding the Arms and Armor Society of America visit www.armsandarmor.org

* Graduate students presenting a paper at the 2005 conference may apply to the program chair Norman Land for travel assistance (maximum $200).
