CFP: Victorian Literature (grad) (12/1/04; 3/4/05-3/5/05)

Texas Tech University’s Graduate English Society will hold its annual conference March 4-5, 2005 at the English-Philosophy Building on the TTU campus in Lubbock, TX.

 

250 word paper or session proposals for the Victorian Literature area will be accepted until December 1. Areas may include, but are certainly not limited to:

 

All genres and authors of the Victorian era

 

Influence of technological advancements on the popularization of the novel

 

The literary market in the Victorian era

 

Cultural studies

 

Race, gender, and ethnicity studies

 

Critical theory as applied to Victorian literature

 

The future of Victorian literature (in the classroom, in scholarship, etc.)

 

The impact of Victorian culture on modern societies
