CFP: TWO-YEAR COLLEGES

NATIONAL POPULAR CULTURE & AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATIONS

2005 JOINT CONFERENCE

March 23-26, 2005

San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina

For more information on the PCA/ACA, please go to http://www.h-net.org/~pcaaca.

DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1, 2004

We are considering proposals for sessions organized around a theme, special panels, and/or individual papers. Sessions are scheduled in 1˝ hour slots, ideally with four papers or speakers per standard session.

We welcome proposals on any topics related to Two-Year Colleges, and especially, this year, in the idea of “Popular Culture Across the Curriculum.” I would like to hear from any teachers who incorporate popular culture into their classes from as many divergent disciplines as possible. We’re used to and welcome papers from English departments or Sociologists examining popular culture. How about people teaching history, sciences, etc?

Should you or any of your colleagues be interested in submitting a proposal or have any questions, please contact the area chair (see below).

Submit a one-page (150-250 word) proposal or abstract (via regular mail or e-mail) by November 1, 2004, to:
