Bridges and Gaps: Self and Communities in Performance

The Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) 2005 Conference
San Francisco, CA, July 28-July 31, 2005

The 2005 ATHE Conference theme is "Bridging Communities, Engaging=
Creativity." In light of the conference theme, this proposed panel =
invites essays that address the construction of self in theatrical texts =
and/or performances, particularly in connection to/in conflict with =
either the communities represented in the text/s and/or those =
communities beyond the text (audience, theatre community, =
local/national/global communities). Papers from all theoretical or =
critical approaches are welcome.

Please send a one-page abstract to Jacqueline O=92Connor at =
joconnor_at_boisestate.edu. Please include your name, affiliation, the =
title of your paper, a daytime phone number and email address with your =
submission. The deadline for abstracts is October 25, 2004. More =
