UPDATE: DEADLINE EXTENDED

We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the third annual Conference
for Medieval Studies, a graduate conference to be held at Purdue University
from February 18-19, 2005. Papers dealing with any aspect of medieval
culture or medievalism will be considered. Topics could include, but are
not limited to:

Science and Technology

Literature and Language

History

Politics

Philosophy

Medieval Commodities

Art

Music

Medieval Theatre

Representations of the medieval in film

Victorian or Twentieth Century Medievalism

Claudia Bornholdt, Assistant Professor, Department of Germanic Languages and
Literatures at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will deliver
the plenary address. Her research interests include medieval German and
Scandinavian literature.

The deadline for submission has been extended to December 15.
