UPDATE: Historical Novel (12/10/04; SW/TX PCA/ACA, 2/9/05-2/12/05)

Deadline extended:

We have one panel full and are still accepting proposals for
more panels. Send your proposal about any of the following in
popular or canonical historical novels:

gender roles
social subtexts
the use of actual historical figures
language
setting
research
the novel and the film?

The absolute final last ultimate deadline for proposal submissions
for the historical novel panel at SWTX/PCA Conference in Albuquerque
NM is 10 December.

Proposals must be to me by then.

The 2005 SW/TX PCA/ACA Conference will be held in beautiful Albuquerque, NM,
at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Join us this year, as a returning or
first-time participant, as we celebrate a new future on Route 66 at this
popular cultural conference. Further details regarding the conference
(listing of all areas, hotel, registration, tours, etc.) can be found at

Please note that the deadline for registration for the conference is
December 31, 2004. All participants MUST register online at the SW/TX
website www.h-net.org/~swpca as soon as papers are accepted.
