The deadline for the Special Topic Session "African American Women Writers:
Memory and Identity" for this year's RMMLA convention in Coeur d'Alene,
Idaho (October 20-22, 2005), has been extended until March 15, 2005.
Papers dealing with literary works written by African American women are now
being accepted. Past topics have included papers on Toni Morrison, Gayl
Jones, Gloria Naylor, Harriot Jacobs, and many more. We are looking, in
particular, for African American Women Writers of poetry this year, but
welcome any and all proposals.
Please send 250-300 word abstracts via E-mail attachment (Word or RTF) to
vtheile_at_hotmail.com or vtheile_at_mail.wsu.edu by March 15.
