"Modernism(s) in the Small College"
A small college environment breeds both possibilities and pitfalls for
scholars and teachers in the field of modernism. This proposed
roundtable invites participants from institutions of 3000 or fewer
students to share ideas and solutions for incorporating modernism and
modernisms into their professional lives. Focal points may include
research, teaching, interdisciplinary work, and course design, among
others. Because we are designing a roundtable rather than a formal
panel, we seek participants who can discuss specific challenges to and
strategies for "doing" modernism(s) at a small school. Send a CV and
abstract of no more than 300 words to roundtable organizers by April 18.
