The 13th Annual Conference for the Group for Early Modern Cultural
Studies (GEMCS) will be held from December 1-4, 2005, in San Antonio,
Texas. Topics related to the theme of "Crossing Borders" or to early
modern studies more generally are welcome. Send abstracts for complete
panels (approx. 1000 words) or individual papers (approx. 250 words) to
bandrea_at_utsa.edu using the subject line "Group for Early Modern Cultural
Studies." The deadline for abstracts for individual papers, round tables
(eight or more participants), and paper sessions (three to six
participants) is August 1, 2005. For more information, see the
