Aspects of Language Functioning in Different Linguistic, Didactic and
Sociocultural Contexts

November 17-18, 2005

Vilnius, Lithuania

We kindly invite researchers, university/school teachers and doctoral
students to participate in an international conference held at Vilnius
Pedagogical University and hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Conference Topics include, but are not limited to:

  a.. Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Discourse
Analysis, and Pragmatics.

  b.. Second Language Acquisition, English for Special Purposes.

  c.. Innovative Teaching and Learning Technologies in Foreign Language
Teaching.

  d.. Sociocultural Aspects in Foreign Language Teaching.

Conference Languages: English, French, German

Important deadlines:

Submission of registration forms and abstracts of presentations due by
September 25, 2005.

Participants' notification of acceptance to the conference sent via
e-mail by October 10, 2005.

Conference presentations are due by October 20, 2005.

The conference program will be announced by November 4, 2005.

Conference Fee:

Conference participant fee is 50 Lt.

The conference fee is paid at registration on the first day of the
conference.

Submission of Papers:

Registration forms, abstracts of presentations and extended versions of
presentations can be submitted

Selection of conference presentations will be made according to the
abstracts.

Requirements for Abstracts:

Abstracts should be written in the language of the presentation. The
length of the abstract should be 800-1000 characters.

Presentations meeting the requirements of scientific publications will
be published in conference proceedings.
