CALL FOR PAPERS in FAT STUDIES

The Midwest Popular Culture Association and Midwest American Culture Association
Friday-Sunday, October 14-16, 2005
Westin St. Louis

We invite papers that deal with fat in relation to culture.

Subjects can include, but are not limited to:

Topics relating to The Health at Every Size Paradigm
Fat on the Media
Size Discrimination
Fat Stereotypes
Fat and the Law
Fat as it intersects with Race/Class/and Gender

For each person presenting, please include the following with your proposal:
• Name
• Affiliation
• Postal address
• Telephone number
• E-mail address
Note: Indicate any information that you do not want published in the
program schedule. A preliminary version of the schedule will be posted
on our Web site. The final version will be distributed in hard copy at
the conference.
