Proposals are now being accepted for the "Chick Lit." Area, and all those
interested are encouraged to participate. (Graduate students/future teachers
are particularly welcome to participate or register to attend the
conference.) Listed below are some suggestions for possible presentations,
but topics not included here are also welcome.

. Confessional narrative/style
. "Chick lit." novel to film adaptations
. Diversity of "chick lit." (British, American, Latina, African-American,
etc.)
. Sub-genres (e.g., "Chica lit.")
. Rhetorical and genre-related issues (Can men write "chick lit.?" Can men
author "chick lit.?")
. Status/reputation (Do "chick lit." authors merit greater respect?)
. And much more . . .
