In an effort to promote the study of James, especially among graduate students,
the William James Society, the Society for the Advancement of American
Philosophy, Yale?s Philosophy Deparment, and Yale Divinity School present
?William James and His Influence?, a conference in honor of Professor
Emeritus John E. Smith and Dr. Smith?s contribution to the field of American
philosophy.
