This panel seeks papers that examine the culture growing up around Poser, DAZ Studio, Bryce, Carrara, Vue and other 3D animation software programs. Papers may examine the communities of artists that have developed, virtual worlds like Second Life, the markets that have arisen to create and disseminate new products, any of the various genres that dominate the culture (sci-fi fantasy, horror, erotica), specific websites devoted to Poser Art, the relationship between the consumer/artist and the producer/software developer, etc.
