CFP: [20th] SAMLA (11/7-9/2008): "Women & Marriage" in Modern British Literature

This session seeks 20-minute papers that address topics related to “Women
and Marriage” in Modern British Literature. Though this topic is open,
preference will be given to papers addressing the following: how social
mores influence marriage, particularly with respect to female characters,
and the economic, social, and/or political aspects of marriage with
respect to female characters. By May 12, 2008, please submit by e-mail a
title, an abstract of 250-500 words, and a list of any technology needs
to Heather Duerre Humann, Department of English, The University of
Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35487-0244, at heather.duerre_at_ua.edu. This
session is part of the 2008 SAMLA Conference in Louisville, Kentucky
