Call for papers for SCMLA, November 6-8, 2008, San Antonio, Texas

Session Theme: Contemporary Issues in Children’s Literature

Description: The Children's Literature Session of South Central MLA
(SCMLA), welcomes proposals for papers examining contemporary
or "current" and innovative issues in children’s and adolescent
literature. Methods might include concepts such as abjection,
postcolonialism, multiculturalism, feminisms or other applicable
treatments. Genres might include picture books, graphic narrative,
novels, etc.
  
Deadline: March 14, 2008
